Case study: Fitsum and Alun's story
Fitsum was a headteacher in Eritrea and is currently volunteering as a classroom assistant in the UK. Through Refugees into Teaching, he has been assigned Alun as a mentor to help him in his journey to retrain as a teacher.
Case study: Cyrille's story
Cyrille is from the Democratic Republic of Congo and took a one year “top up” degree in Pharmaceutical Science to enable him to apply for teacher training. He is now on a two year PGCE course at Keele University, completing placements in schools.
